The Other Page Issue #2, Again. Perhaps I was too cryptic yesterday. TOP#2 has excellent contributions from Patrick Smith (Salon.com's "Ask the Pilot"), Eric Gillin (BlackTable and Maxim), Mike Spinelli (Jalopnik), Alexis Swerdloff (Gawker Intern Emeritus), and Chris Gage. We ditched the mailing idea this time around (read: poor advertising climate (re-read: I'm broke)) so you can download the PDF version here and print it.

AllMusic.com describes Kraut-experimentalists Can as "always at least three steps ahead of contemporary popular music" which I think equates step with decade. Tago Mago released in 1971 sounds like it came from a Brooklyn recording studio circa 2001 or maybe the early 90's Louisville scene.
