Omega-blogger Lock ("Lockhart Steele" to friends) offers a complete (if not pain-staking) round-up of the torrid
Gridskipper affair. Thanks to everyone who has said I'm better off not doing the site. I cautiously agree, though my landlord and stomach might feel differently. BTW, the guest-editors after me have made the site infinitely more interesting than I ever did.
Check it out. And if next week's rumored guest editor doesn't chicken out you can be sure I'll live-blog the blogging here. It'll be like watching grass grow on your arm!
For a more pleasurable viewing experience, my roommate's comedy group
The Royal We did a parody of the 1984 Apple commercial that's been linked and lauded all over the place, most notably on
BoingBoing.
No Data continues the assault on itself and even got a gloriously retarded website:
NoData.dj. (I might have quit that too. Not sure. I seem to fare better in "guest roles" anyway.) Youngna, official No Data photographer, has the
latest evidence of cultural crimes against humanity. Smell the vapor rub.
Even worse,
Grellan and I attended the
FishbowlNY party where he had to separate me and
Nick Denton using
Kate Lee as a shield. Nick proves again he's not the tremblin' kind. (Apologies to
Laura Cantrell.) Also, camera-adverse
New Yorker writer
Ben McGrath is caught on film. I would reveal which one but I fear a hockey stick up my rectum.
